Production Process

The Production Process of

Sultan Roller Flour & Genaeral Mills

involves several stages to transform wheat into flour.

1. Wheat Reception and Storage

- Receiving: Wheat is received from farms and transported to the mill.

- Cleaning: The wheat is cleaned to remove impurities such as stones, dust, and other foreign materials.

- Storage: Cleaned wheat is stored in silos until it is ready to be milled.

2. Cleaning

- Pre-cleaning: Removes large impurities using screens and air aspiration systems.

- Intensive Cleaning: Uses magnetic separators, de-stoners, and scourers to remove finer impurities and ensure wheat is free from contaminants.

- Conditioning: The cleaned wheat is conditioned by adding water to reach the desired moisture content, making it easier to mill.

3. Milling

- Breaking: The wheat is passed through a series of break rolls, which crush the wheat kernels into pieces, separating the bran and germ from the endosperm.

- Sifting: The crushed wheat is sifted through sieves to separate the finer particles (flour) from the coarser particles.

- Purifying: Air currents and sieves are used to purify the middlings (intermediate particles), separating the fine flour from the coarser bran and germ.

4. Reduction

- Reduction Rolls: The purified middlings are passed through reduction rolls to grind them into finer flour.

- Sifting: The resulting product is sifted again to ensure uniform particle size and quality.

- Blending: Various streams of flour are blended to achieve the desired flour quality and specifications.

5. Quality Control

- Testing: Samples of flour are tested in the lab to ensure they meet quality standards, including protein content, moisture level, and granularity.

- Adjustments: Based on the test results, adjustments are made to the milling process to ensure consistent product quality.

6. Packaging and Distribution

- Packaging: The final flour product is packaged in bags or bulk containers, ready for shipmnent.

- Storage: Packaged flour is stored in a clean, dry environment to maintain quality.

- Distribution: The flour is distributed to customers, including bakeries, retailers, and Other food
manufacturers.
